断背山的原声大碟中，一共收录17首作品，其中9首音乐，8首歌曲，但电影里有一首没有放歌词。在剩余的7首里，有5首是为JACK创作或选曲的，外加未收录进专集的QUIZAS也许，就有6首JACK的歌。听着这些歌，总觉得配乐一定偏爱JACK，才会有这么多好听，又贴切的词句。（不是不喜欢ENNIS，可为他配的歌曲，只有“他是我的一个朋友”打动我。）就让我们跟着歌词，重新回味断背山，重新感受JACK的世界吧。
第一首有词的歌作为JACK跳舞的背景，歌词仿佛是LUREEN的内心独白：“难道你不知道吗？没有人会象我一样爱你，我知道你常常觉得孤独，我知道你是多么悲伤和忧郁”，内心冷冷清清的JACK，感受着LUREEN的温暖，仿佛是在冬天快要冻僵的人，向着一团火靠近。JACK内心的忧郁和比赛时的阳光形象就这样抓住了一个女人的心，为此付出一辈子。

ENNIS离婚了，并且给JACK写了明信片，也许他只是想看到JACK安慰的话语，也许仅仅是他酒醉后一时的脆弱，JACK却完全误会了，开着车，直奔而来，“恨不得直接冲进ENNIS的房间”，这时候的他，一定是觉得局面终于能按照自己的希望发展了，欢快的心情和可以驾驭一切的希望都和着那句“KING OF THE ROAD”一起唱了出来。

JACK拐下公路，按着喇叭，冲到ENNIS家门前，似乎是在大声地宣告着：“ENNIS，我来了！”然而，ENNIS正准备带女儿们出门。我常想：如果不是这么不巧，或许至少JACK不会一点安慰都没有得到，就无奈地离开，即使他一样会失望。
即使失望，即使生气，没有一句抱怨，JACK仍然说着下次的见面。怎样的爱才可以这样包容？是因为社会的压力吗？是因为曾经在山上得到的宠爱吗？还是仅仅因为爱？想想碌碌生活着的我们，总是要求着对方这样，那样，为约会迟到而生气，为没有礼物而生气，为对方加班不能陪自己而生气，我们的爱呢？真的很佩服李安，他的的确确在告诉我们什么是爱。(跑题了吧？)
ENNIS含混的话语和闪烁的目光浮现在脑海中，JACK的心痛在忧伤的歌声里终于化做泪水流了下来。女歌手娓娓的歌声象是情人在耳边的絮语，又象是温柔地手，在抚慰着他的伤口：

也许就是这样的信念，让JACK倔强地擦干眼泪，仍然等着心爱的人。可是内心的疲惫又有谁来安慰？大概这是第一次，ENNIS在心里开始变得有一点点模糊。墨西哥夜晚的街巷里，无家可归的JACK踌躇着不知道向哪里去，我们可以看见他的犹豫和挣扎，而这时的歌声，更象是一声轻轻的叹息：也许，也许。

再一次的聚会，ENNIS说起自己在小镇上的遭遇，JACK又提起两个人的未来，结果依然是不欢而散。而舞会上的大胡子的暗示，让JACK看到了自己一直想要的生活忽然有了实现的可能。然而，ENNIS呢？一次次让自己失望,伤心的ENNIS，自己怨着的ENNIS，却仍然不忍心说“再见”的ENNIS。
爱，也许就是无论如何也没法离开的不舍，就是那一句句的“我不想说再见”。

电影的最后一曲，有一点点懒洋洋的男声唱着JACK一生心里的痛和无奈，淋漓尽致。

想着JACK总是微笑的样子，在ENNIS不愿下山发小孩子脾气的时候，在四年后第一次重逢，开了好远的路，心里明明想得要命，却笑着装做若无其事的时候，在老丈人轻视地扔钥匙的时候，在两个人最后的一次拥抱的时候。心里明明都是痛的，却为了爱而坚持着。
珍惜身边的人吧，他（她）微笑，也许仅仅是因为他（她）爱你。
