克里斯并非一些超级制作人的子弟兵，他的故乡也不是像纽约、坎普顿或亚特兰大等等一些知名的都会音乐盛地，克里斯来自於人口只有两千人的维吉尼亚州小镇Tappahannock，他证明了真正的才华、恒心毅力以及独特的魅力还是可以让小镇男孩在音乐界占有一席之地。
