关于枪炮与玫瑰（Guns N' Roses ）的Don't cry
枪炮与玫瑰乐队最具影响力的曲目是“Don't Cry”，“Don't Cry”在Billboard排行榜上停留将近3年（147）周，创下了摇滚乐的神话。Don't Cry这首歌中枪花乐队一改从前的愤怒激烈，主唱沧桑哀婉低吟出一段令人荡气回肠的柔情曲，而歌曲表达出的无奈和失意正是愤怒的极致。不止在歌收尾的地方，在歌起时就有淡淡的的呻吟声，而且在整首歌里拖长的音非常之多，通过加长的低鸣来表达一种撕心裂肺的心痛，在MTV版本中，两位主唱的女友皆因他们的不够珍惜而伤心离去，甚至香消玉陨，MTV用很长的篇幅来追忆从前的美好时光，悔恨的心痛表达得淋漓尽致。值得注意的是，在结尾中，主唱axl.rose迎着从窗顶透射进的光尘颤抖双手，倏的一只美丽的白鸽振翅而去，或许这还隐藏着再续前缘的一种奢望！

Don't Cry由AXL和IZZY创作。
Axl: 有个女孩曾经和Izzy在一起，我也非常喜欢她。后来他们分手了，我和Izzy写了这首歌。
Axl: 我坐在Roxy影院的外面，你知道，我好像真的爱上她了，可是她觉得我们之间没有可能，因为她有她自己的世界。她准备和我说再见了，于是我坐在那里开始哭泣，她对我说"Don't cry"。第二天晚上，我和Izzy在5分钟内写出了这首歌。
Axl: MV开始时夺抢的一幕，是源于我和Erin。我想要一枪崩了自己，Erin扑过来夺枪，这是真实发生过的。(Metallix, 1992)
Axl: 溺水的镜头是MV拍摄中最艰难的一幕。很多年以来，这种感觉一直跟随着我——溺水的感觉，在下沉，被人拉着一路向下，挣扎着想拯救彼此。(Metallix, 1992)
