i don't know why you call it Hollywood~Hollywood will not allow such subtlety and slow pace, and it'll definitely want John Williams style symphony more than Santaolalla's simplistic acoustic guitar (demagogic? shouldn't it be used in a more political sense?).
stereotype? i'm afraid i didn't see much of it here. i admit that to put one of the major leading roles to death sounds a bit familiar, but as far as other things are concerned, the movie is brand new. and this is why people calling it revolutionary, groundbreaking, etc. i know you'll frown on this, but can you tell me how many gay ranch-hands, working class people, small town folks and realistic central america have you ever seen in previous movies?
you may not like BBM, that's totally fine. but u better not doubt other people's sincerety when they appear to you to be over-reacted. believe me, i've seen tons of movies, and this is the one that genuinely lingers~
can you tell me what movies u like? and in particular, what G movies u like? btw, i'd really like to thank you for spending time on a discussion board reserved for a movie that u don't really appreciate.envy ur leisure! |
